Upload asset
Learn how to upload your media files.
1. In the Assets tab, select➕Upload asset.
2. Click on Select file and choose the media from your local machine.
Ensure the media you upload is in a supported input format.
3. A unique asset name will be generated (including the upload timestamp), but you can rename the asset and click Upload asset.
A default name is generated based on your media file, but you can modify it. Only use letters, numbers, underscores, and hyphens.
Once the upload is complete, you can create an encoding job and publish the asset.
Asset details
After uploading an asset, you can review its details through the following components:

- Asset Blobs
Player
Built-in RavPlayer supports standard playback controls, quality settings, and accessibility features. RavPlayer is open-source - learn more.
Video playback becomes available when:
1. A job completes processing the asset
2. A locator that allows streaming is created (policies other than ClearKey or DownloadOnly)
The player supports both AES-encrypted and DRM-protected content playback.
