Access RMS Console
1. Locate your RMS domain:
- In Azure Portal, navigate to: Resource group > Front Door and CDN > Front Door manager:
- Copy the domain that follows this format:
fd-{unique-value}.azurefd.net
orrms-{unique-value}.azurefd.net
Depending on your setup, there might be several domains, as shown in the screenshot above. Any of them can be used to access the RMS Console, as they all point to the same service.
2. Access the console by appending /console
to your RMS domain URL: https://[your-domain]/console
Sign in with Microsoft Entra ID
Click Sign in to authenticate using Microsoft Entra ID. If you have access to the Azure resource group where RMS is deployed, you can sign in to the RMS Console.
If this doesn’t work, check “I can't log into the RMS console” or contact Ravnur.
Console Layout
Once you click the Ravnur logo on the left corner, you'll see 4 core tabs of the RMS Console:
- Assets: View and manage media assets of your primary Storage account.
- Transforms and Jobs: Access the Transform list and associated Jobs (select a Transform to see its Jobs).
- Account Settings: Manage account-level resources and security settings.
- API Credentials: Access JSON credentials to connect to RMS API.
Follow these steps to get started with RMS Console:
1. Select RMS Account
Click here to choose the account:
Select an account from the dropdown menu or create a new one using the button.
You already have at least one 'default' account in addition to other accounts created earlier (e.g., accounts added earlier via the legacy RMS Console). Each account represents a separate space you can manage apart from other accounts with its own transforms and configuration settings across all tabs.
Other RMS Console users within your organization can access these accounts. Access restriction is in development.
2. Add Storage Account
The final action before starting using RMS Console is to connect at least one Storage Account to your selected account. To do that, follow the detailed steps on this page.
The first Storage Account you connect will automatically be set as Primary.
The Assets tab will display content from your Primary Storage Account. Proceed with uploading assets and processing media content through the RMS Console.
Account settings
The Account Settings tab provides additional configuration options that you can access at any time to enhance your media processing:
- Storages: connect new Storage accounts and switch them by selecting Primary.
- Streaming endpoints: auto-configured Streaming origin domain and Host name (Front Door Endpoint domain name).
- Video Indexer accounts: enable closed caption generation.
- DRM settings: Set up DRM parameters for content protection.
