The RMS Console is the web application you use to manage your RMS account. Whether you’re using RMS as a self-hosted managed application in your Azure tenant or the RMS SaaS version, you’ll use this console to register (or link) your RMS instance, manage account settings, and invite teammates.
Before you begin
You’ll need:
Access to the RMS managed application in the Azure portal
You must be able to sign in to Azure and open the RMS managed application page because you will need to copy two values from the managed application.-
Two values from the Azure Portal
Azure Subscription ID
RMS managed resource group name
The managed resource group is the Azure resource group created and maintained by the managed application. It contains the underlying resources for RMS.
What happens during registration
The first person who links an RMS instance becomes the Account Owner in the RMS Console (this is not the same as the Owner role in the Azure portal). The RMS Console Account Owner can Invite other users and assign roles in Settings > User Management.
How to link your RMS instance
-
Open the RMS Console at https://apps.ravnur.com and select Sign in.
Sign in with your Microsoft Entra ID.
Accept the required permissions. You may not see this step if someone in your organization has already granted consent.
-
After sign-in, you’ll land on the Welcome page. Select Link RMS Instance.
-
In the dialog that appears, enter:
Azure subscription ID
RMS managed resource group name
Tenant ID (optional): if your account doesn't belong to the subscription ID you're using, you may need to provide a tenant ID.
-
To find these values in Azure:
Open a new tab and sign in to the Azure portal.
Navigate to your RMS managed application.
Copy the Subscription ID and the Managed resource group name as shown in the application’s overview/details.
Return to the RMS Console and paste the values into the Link RMS Instance dialog.
7. Select Link.
Result
You can start using the new RMS Console immediately. Your data and settings carry over automatically. The new RMS Console is the production-ready platform for your media workflows. It replaces the previous beta release and receives all new capabilities and improvements.
Tips:
- If you manage multiple RMS instances across subscriptions, repeat this process for each instance you want visible in the console.
- Make sure the account you use has sufficient access to the managed application in Azure; otherwise, the console may not be able to validate the link.
Next steps
- Complete your organizational profile so that Ravnur can contact you when there are important updates or security issues. Go to Settings > Account Information.
- Invite other users and assign roles in Settings > User Management.
