A complete guide series covering the encoding workflow and encryption process using the RMS Console. The RMS Console provides a user-friendly interface to manage and test the RMS API.

• Bug fixes and security enhancements

Improved RMS encoding resilience, enhanced security, improved Event Grid message delivery notifications, and performance optimizations. Fixed audio transcoding jobs to always show the correct status.

• RMS Console Job error details

  View detailed error descriptions directly from the Jobs list. When a job has an "Error" status, click View errors to display the full error message.

• HDR-to-SDR conversion

  RMS now supports automatic HDR-to-SDR tone mapping for video processing. This feature converts HDR content to SDR colorspace while removing all HDR metadata (including smpte2084), making content compatible with adaptive streaming platforms. Contact Ravnur to start using the HDR-to-SDR conversion.

• Bug fixes and security enhancements

Both the RMS Console and RMS API have received various bug fixes and security enhancements.

• RMS Console API Key Management

The redesigned interface provides better visibility and control over API credentials. Use the improved API Key Management tab to create and track API keys.

• Creating Transforms in the RMS Console

The RMS Console now allows creating transforms directly within the interface. It is possible to select one of the 14 built-in presets or to create custom transforms.

• RMS Console built-in player - preview media content directly in RMS Console. 

• • • AES Encryption support - preview AES-encrypted media assets within the Console.
    • DRM protection support - native support for Widevine and FairPlay DRM streaming. PlayReady Console playback support coming soon (PlayReady DRM is functional for RMS).

• RMS Console Asset blobs display improvements - view and download individual media components (transcoded files, thumbnails, subtitles) directly from the Asset details page.

• AKS Version Upgrade

RMS infrastructure upgraded to Azure Kubernetes Service version 1.31.2 across all environments.
