RMS API: Live streaming link format update
Live streaming links now use the same domain as VOD content instead of a separate live domain. The new link format aligns with Azure Media Services structure for improved compatibility.
RMS API: Get Status endpoint for live events
A new Get Status endpoint enables users and applications to check live stream availability before initializing playback. RMS Console uses this endpoint internally, and it's also available for custom player implementations. Developers can implement polling logic against this endpoint to detect when streaming manifests are ready and monitor live event status dynamically.
Bug fixes and system enhancements
Various bug fixes and performance improvements have been implemented. Network handling has been optimised to reduce connection timeouts.

RMS Console: Content Key Policies
RMS Console now supports Content Key Policy configuration for media encryption in the dedicated tab. You can define AES parameters that determine how media streams are packaged and protected.
RMS Console: Organization and account selection
RMS Console has a redesigned account selector. Users now select organization > resource group > account. This structure aligns with the Azure resource hierarchy, which allows switching between multiple managed resource groups in the unified RMS Console.
RMS now automatically detects and converts Tx3G (3GPP Timed Text) subtitles to WebVTT format for HLS streaming. Multiple subtitle tracks are supported.

September 2025
The new RMS Console is now available on a new domain at https://apps.ravnur.com. Once linked, all users can manage encoding and streaming workflows through the new RMS Console.
RMS Console: Live event management
Create and manage live events directly in the RMS Console. Use your encoder (such as OBS) to go live, monitor your stream's status, and use the built-in tools to set up and control your event.
RMS Console: Support ticket widget
Open support tickets directly from RMS Console. Click the Support icon in the bottom-right corner and submit a request. This makes it easier to reach the Ravnur team when you need assistance.

PlayReady DRM protection is now available in RMS Console, completing full DRM support alongside Widevine and FairPlay. PlayReady provides content protection for Windows devices and the Microsoft Edge browser. Both RMS API and RMS Console now fully support PlayReady usage.
You can now build RMS account creation directly into your own applications and services using the Azure SDK. Instead of creating accounts through the RMS Console, create new RMS accounts using the UI of your application. This eliminates the need for manual account setup.
