The simplest way to stop sharing a public page is to turn off the feature by deselecting the External public page box in the Sharing permissions section of the Properties tab for the media item.

If the media item expires, is deleted or disabled, or has its privacy changed to Restricted, the public page will be immediately disabled. And of course, if the public page feature is disabled globally, all existing public pages will also be disabled.
