What is a Live Event?
A live event is a scheduled broadcast that allows you to stream content in real-time to your audience. A live event is created using the event template which ensures that all necessary settings are in place for a successful stream.
Why do I need a Live Event?
The channel requires you to provide the broadcast time and, if using the RMS type of source, update the ingest setup. By creating a live event, you can advertise the start time to your viewers, ensuring they know when to tune in.
How to create a Live Event?
1. Click on the Live Streaming > Event Templates. This opens the list view which shows you all scheduled, running, or expired events.
2. Press the blue button labeled Create live event in the upper right corner of the list view. This will open the Create live event form.

Your fields will be prepopulated with the template values. If not, set up or edit them now.
